Job Summary:

The Sr. Director, Data & Infrastructure – India Technology Center is a senior technology leader responsible for the strategy, delivery excellence, and organizational development of T-Mobile's Data and Infrastructure engineering capabilities in Hyderabad.

This leader is accountable for end-to-end delivery quality and capability maturity across a multi-disciplinary organization spanning:

- Data Engineering
- Data Governance
- Cloud & Platform Infrastructure
- Database Platforms
- Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)
- CI/CD Delivery

The role is a key member of the India Technology Center Leadership Team and is responsible for ensuring India-based delivery teams are fully integrated into global planning, governance, and execution models while driving innovation, operational excellence, and talent development aligned with T-Mobile's values.

Key Responsibilities:

Domain Leadership & Delivery Ownership:

- Lead India-based engineering teams across Data and Infrastructure domains.

Oversee:

- Data Engineering
- Data Governance
- Data Serving Platforms
- Data Ingestion Frameworks
- Cloud & Platform Infrastructure
- Database Platforms
- Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)
- CI/CD Delivery
- Own end-to-end delivery quality, capability maturity, and business value realization.
- Serve as the primary India-side delivery partner for global technology leadership.
- Ensure alignment on priorities, dependencies, risks, and performance metrics.

Global Partnership & Stakeholder Governance:

- Act as the primary liaison between India engineering teams and global technology leaders.

Participate in:

- Program planning cycles
- Executive delivery reviews
- Drive accountability, resource alignment, and successful delivery across geographies.
- Ensure India's contributions are measurable, visible, and integrated into global planning.

Talent Development & Organizational Scaling:

- Build and scale a high-performing engineering organization.
- Lead senior managers and technical leaders across Data and Infrastructure functions.
- Oversee onboarding and integration of planned hires while supporting significant organizational growth.
- Establish leadership development programs, coaching frameworks, and performance management processes.
- Strengthen engineering capability and succession pipelines across the organization.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in:

- Computer Science
- Information Technology
- Engineering
- Related Technical Discipline
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Experience Requirements:

15+ years of progressive experience in:

- Software Engineering
- Data Engineering




- Infrastructure Engineering
- Enterprise Technology Leadership
- Proven track record of leading large-scale, highly available enterprise systems.

10+ years of people leadership experience, including management of:

- Senior Managers
- Directors
- Technical Leaders
- 5+ years leading global or distributed engineering organizations.

Preferred Experience:

- Experience managing India-based or offshore delivery organizations.
- Leadership experience across both Data Engineering and Infrastructure Engineering domains.
