Role Summary

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer.The candidate will own end-to-end data pipeline design and development on Azure, working across data ingestion, transformation, warehousing, and reporting layers, with additional exposure to SAP Basis / database administration considered a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks.
- Develop and optimize big data processing workflows using Apache Spark and PySpark.
- Build and maintain data models and semantic layers using Azure Analysis Services for reporting and analytics.
- Develop dashboards and reports in Microsoft Power BI for business stakeholders.
- Write and optimize complex queries in MS SQL / SQL for data extraction, transformation, and validation.
- Manage CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows using Azure DevOps.
- Administer and monitor Azure Cloud infrastructure supporting data platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical data solutions.
- Ensure data quality, governance,



and performance optimization across pipelines and platforms.
- (Value-add) Support SAP Basis Administration and Oracle Database Administration tasks where required.

Required Skills & Experience

- 5-8 years of experience in Data Engineering within IT services or a related industry.
- Strong hands-on experience with Apache Spark, PySpark, and Delta Lake.
- Proficiency in Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Analysis Services.
- Strong SQL skills (MS SQL) for data modeling, transformation, and performance tuning.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Power BI for data visualization and reporting.
- Experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD and Azure Cloud Administration.
- Proficiency in Python for data engineering and automation tasks.
- Working knowledge of Linux and Windows server environments.
- Exposure to SAP Basis Administration and/or Oracle Database Administration is an added advantage.

Preferred Certifications

- Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional
- Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert (or equivalent Azure certification)
- Any additional Microsoft/Azure or Data Engineering certifications will be a plus

Education

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering — Computer Science / IT / Computer Systems Technology or related field
