About The Role The Business Partner and Functional Expert role at Oracle is a key position responsible for providing detailed financial analysis and decision-making support to stakeholders across the organization. This role involves collaborating closely with business units to facilitate strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of sales cycles within software companies, expense management, and end-to-end process/system workflows.
The role requires a proactive approach to translating complex business requirements into actionable insights, supporting the development of future business strategies, and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
Qualifications The successful candidate will hold an MBA, CA, CIMA, or CMA qualification, demonstrating a solid foundation in financial management and analysis. A minimum of five years of relevant experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A;) is essential, with proven expertise in financial modeling, budgeting, and strategic analysis. Strong proficiency in analytical and Business Intelligence (BI) tools, along with advanced MS-Office skills, is required.
Additionally,
a good understanding of ERP and CRM systems will be advantageous. The candidate should exhibit a high level of performance drive, adaptability, and excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate and influence stakeholders at various levels.
Responsibilities As a key contributor, you will serve as a co-pilot to business partners, owning responsibilities and tasks end-to-end within designated business areas.
Your role involves liaising with Global Business Functions (GBF), Business Operations, and other organizational units to execute deliverables such as forecast and budget reviews. You will provide expertise in defining and implementing organizational changes, including SCOA (Standard Chart of Accounts), to optimize financial processes. Participation in Global Process Optimization (GPO) initiatives and projects is integral to your role, ensuring continuous improvement and efficiency gains.
You will translate vague or ad hoc business requirements into comprehensive analysis, including scenario building for long-term planning and competitive analysis. Interpreting business needs and developing tailored solutions to meet objectives is crucial, as is understanding key business drivers and defining KPIs that reflect organizational performance. Regular review and update of KPIs in response to evolving business dynamics will be part of your responsibilities.
Driving discussions, consolidating viewpoints,
and effectively substituting for Finance Business Partners during absences are vital to maintaining seamless financial support. You will also initiate, own, and manage key initiatives or projects, providing periodic updates and course corrections as necessary. Your proactive approach will help identify opportunities for process automation and standardization, contributing to operational efficiency.
Mentoring analysts, designing training programs, and sharing best practices will be part of your leadership responsibilities. You will proactively seek opportunities for efficiency improvements and propose innovative solutions to management, fostering a culture of continuous enhancement and operational excellence.
