Job Purpose The Cost Management Team at IDFC First Bank is dedicated to driving cost optimization initiatives and partnering with various teams for end-to-end implementation. The team focuses on improving process efficiencies and reducing the cost-to-income ratio.

We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Specialist who will play a crucial role in analyzing and optimizing expenses to ensure cost efficiency across the Bank. The role involves leading a team of professionals, driving initiatives that enhance financial efficiency, and contributing to the Bank’s profitability.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Manage and mentor a team comprising analysts and senior analysts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and financial accountability.
- Analyze current spending patterns, identify areas for potential savings, and propose actionable solutions.
- Identify cost optimization projects and partner with teams for major initiatives from concept initiation, planning, cost-saving estimation, through to implementation.
- Provide interim feedback to management on project status as required.
- Engage with business and support teams to review end-to-end business processes and suggest measures to improve efficiencies.




- Develop and execute cost-saving projects that align with the Bank’s strategic goals.
- Monitor the effectiveness of cost-saving measures and adjust strategies as necessary.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior management to support informed strategic decisions.
- Focus on automation of activities performed by the team to improve productivity.
- Identify, recommend, and implement cost optimization opportunities to enhance financial performance and efficiency.

Educational Qualifications: Graduation: Bachelor of Commerce (B.com) / Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) / Bachelor of Arts (BA) / Bachelor of Business & Insurance (BBI) / Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) Post-Graduation: Master of Business Administration (MBA) / Master of Commerce (M.com) / Master of Arts (MA)

Qualified Qualification/Certification: CA

Experience: 5 - 10 years of relevant experience
