Key ResponsibilitiesPatient Care & Preparation

- Welcome patients professionally and verify patient identity and examination details.
- Explain ultrasound procedures, address patient concerns, and ensure comfort throughout the examination.
- Obtain relevant medical history and assess the patient's condition before the scan.
- Position patients appropriately while maintaining dignity, privacy, and safety.
- Adhere to infection prevention and patient safety protocols.

Ultrasound Imaging

- Perform a wide range of ultrasound examinations including:
- Abdomen
- Pelvis
- Obstetric & Gynecological (OBG)
- Small Parts
- Vascular (if applicable)
- Musculoskeletal (MSK)
- Operate ultrasound equipment efficiently and adjust imaging parameters to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
- Ensure accurate image acquisition and proper documentation of findings.
- Maintain image quality standards in accordance with hospital protocols.

Image Review & Documentation

- Review ultrasound images for clarity, completeness, and diagnostic quality.
- Identify abnormal findings and document preliminary observations for the radiologist.
- Maintain accurate patient records and upload images to PACS/HIS/RIS systems.
- Ensure timely reporting workflow and coordinate with radiologists when required.

Equipment Maintenance

- Perform routine quality checks on ultrasound equipment.




- Report equipment malfunctions promptly to the Biomedical Engineering team.
- Maintain cleanliness and readiness of ultrasound rooms and accessories.

Collaboration

- Work closely with Radiologists, Physicians, Nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Coordinate patient scheduling to minimize waiting time and improve workflow.
- Participate in departmental meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing education programs.

Compliance & Quality

- Follow hospital policies, radiation safety (where applicable), infection control, and patient confidentiality guidelines.
- Maintain compliance with NABH standards and departmental SOPs.
- Ensure ethical practice and compassionate patient care at all times.

Qualifications

- Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Radiology, or an equivalent qualification.
- Valid certification or registration as required.
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in a hospital or diagnostic center (preferred).
- Freshers with excellent clinical training may also apply.

Required Skills

- Proficiency in operating modern ultrasound equipment.
- Solid knowledge of ultrasound anatomy, physiology, and imaging techniques.
- Excellent patient handling and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
- Good observation, analytical, and documentation skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality patient care.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with HIS/RIS/PACS systems is an advantage.

Pay: From ₹20,000.00 per month
