In accordance with established policies, procedures and standards, is
responsible for the activities related to an assigned organizational element,
program, project or task. Will normally plan, conduct and supervise engineering
design reviews and analysis assignments involving a major project or several
smaller or less complex projects. These projects by nature of their complexity
and difficulty require the fully competent application of conventional knowledge
in a particular field of engineering or scientific field. Project work and
assignments may be broad in nature requiring ingenuity and cross functional
coordination. Through broader and more technically challenging work assignments,
and will develop a thorough understanding of policies, methods, and procedures.

What You Will Do:

* Provides day-to-day leadership of Engineering staff assigned. Assigns
projects to Engineers and monitors the progress of all assigned projects.
Ensures the delivery of high quality service and maintenance of positive customer
relations.

* Perform detailed engineering review of plans independently,



as assigned, for
compliance with applicable Rules, Regulations, and contract commitments.

* Review of the Piping diagrams, Piping Hydraulic calculations, Mechanical
components and onboard manuals based on the ABS Rules, Statutory Regulations
like SOLAS, IMO MODU Code, MARPOL, etc.

* Perform work that involves conventional engineering practices but may include
moderately complex problems such as resolving conflicting design
requirements, material standards, or coordinating activities among other
disciplines.

* Draft technically accurate and timely reports and responses to client letters
and other forms of communication for review by an experienced engineer or
engineering manager.

* Prepare accurate and timely weekly reports and billing on all work
performed.

* Communicate the status of the current workload to all appropriate team
members to ensure the client's needs will be met.
