Job Title: Data Team Manager.

Job overview/Purpose of the Position:
As a Data Manager, you will be responsible for delivering ownership and coordination of a Data Engineering team working on Azure-based data platforms. This role combines strong Agile delivery management with a high-level understanding of data platforms to ensure reliable, predictable delivery of data pipelines supporting analytics and reporting. You will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, driving execution, transparency, and continuous improvement.

Area of responsibilities:
Own Agile delivery for the Data Engineering team (sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, reviews).
Track sprint progress, dependencies, risks, and delivery timelines.
Coordinate work across Data Engineers, Architects, and Business stakeholders.
Remove blockers and ensure smooth execution across development cycles.
Act as the main communication point for progress, risks, and delivery status.
Promote structured, repeatable delivery and governance frameworks.
Ensure adherence to Agile practices,



documentation standards, and release processes.
Review solutions to ensure alignment with requirements, scalability, and maintainability.
Break down business requirements into clear user stories and delivery tasks.
Maintain high-level oversight of Azure-based data platform solutions (ADF, ADLS, Databricks).

Competencies (e.g. technical skills):
7–12 years of experience in data platform or data engineering–related projects.
Experience in Agile delivery, sprint management, or coordination roles.
High-level understanding of the Azure data ecosystem and Databricks-based data platforms.
Good knowledge of data lifecycle (ingestion, transformation, consumption).
Robust delivery ownership and execution mindset.
Excellent stakeholder communication and coordination skills.
Ability to manage cross-functional teams and competing priorities.
Strong planning, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
