Preface:

We are seeking a highly capable Solution Architect to establish and lead our software architecture function from the ground up. As the first member of the software team, you will play a pivotal role in designing scalable, reliable, and future-ready digital solutions to support our customized engineering and manufacturing operations. This role combines hands-on architecture, strategic thinking, and execution, with a solid focus on scalability, system integration, and digital transformation.

Responsibilities:

1. Architecture & System Design

 Define end-to-end architecture for engineering, manufacturing, and business systems

 Design scalable and modular software solutions tailored to customized manufacturing workflows

 Select appropriate technology stacks, frameworks, and platforms

2. Scalability & Performance





 Architect systems with a strong emphasis on scalability, performance, and reliability

 Build solutions that can evolve from initial deployments to enterprise-scale operations

 Establish best practices for system performance monitoring and optimization

3. Digital Transformation

 Identify opportunities to digitize and automate engineering and manufacturing processes

 Design solutions integrating CAD/PLM, ERP, MES, and shop-floor systems

 Enable data-driven decision-making through well-architected data pipelines

4. Hands-on Development & Prototyping

 Act as an individual contributor initially designing, building, and deploying solutions

 Develop proof-of-concepts (POCs) and MVPs for critical systems

 Write high-quality, maintainable code where needed

5. Integration & Interoperability

 Architect integrations between internal systems and third-party platforms

 Ensure seamless data flow across engineering, production, and business systems

6. Governance & Best Practices

 Define coding standards, architecture guidelines, and documentation practices

 Establish DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure standards

 Ensure security, compliance, and data integrity across systems

7. Team Building & Leadership





 Lay the foundation for the future software team (processes, tools, hiring plans)

 Mentor future engineers and guide architectural decisions as the team scales

Qualifications & Experience:

 Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

 8+ years of experience in software development, with 3+ years in architecture roles

 Experience designing scalable, distributed systems

 Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

 Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#, or similar)

 Experience with APIs, microservices architecture, and system integration

 Knowledge of databases (SQL/NoSQL) and data architecture  Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or industrial domains

 Familiarity with ERP, MES, PLM, CAD integrations

 Exposure to IoT, Industry 4.0, or smart manufacturing systems

 Experience building systems from scratch in early-stage or growing organizations

 Understanding of DevOps, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and CI/CD
