Set the technical foundation and remain hands-on while guiding a small engineering team. You will design for security, modularity and multi-tenancy without over-engineering the first release.

What you will own

- Define the target architecture, engineering standards, repository structure and technical roadmap.
- Build critical backend and frontend components and review production code.
- Design secure identity, role-based access, tenant isolation, auditability and API boundaries.
- Establish integration patterns for AI services, data pipelines, notifications, reporting and third-party partners.
- Guide threat modelling, privacy-by-design, secure development and architecture decision records.
- Mentor engineers, estimate work and partner with product to make transparent trade-offs.

What we are looking for The ideal candidate will be responsible for working cross-functionally to understand architecture needs by multiple business units. To be effective in this position, you must feel comfortable owning the entire architecture development process from inception to completion.

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or Mathematics
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Advanced knowledge of leading architecture solutions in the industry area
- Robust interpersonal and collaboration skills




- Ability to demonstrate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Experience in building production web/SaaS systems, with recent hands-on coding.
- Strong expertise in TypeScript or Python, REST APIs, relational databases and a modern web framework.
- Production experience on Azure or comparable public cloud, including identity, networking and managed services.
- Experience designing multi-role or multi-tenant platforms and secure application architectures.
- Strong testing, code-review, troubleshooting and technical communication practices.

Good to have

- Azure Entra ID/B2C, App Service or Container Apps, API Management, PostgreSQL, Redis and Key Vault.
- Experience integrating LLM/RAG services, event-driven systems and education or regulated-data products.
- Infrastructure-as-code and FinOps experience.

What success looks like in the first 6 months

- A secure, documented architecture supports the MVP and a credible path to partner multi-tenancy.
- Core services are deployed through repeatable pipelines with logs, tests and operational ownership.
- The engineering team makes consistent decisions and ships maintainable code at a sustainable pace.
