Role Description Act as the main technical adviser on a construction site.

- Liaise with the local authority (where appropriate to the project) to ensure compliance with local construction regulations and by-laws.
- Carry out day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labor force and the work of any subcontractors - this is site-specific and may not be the case on all projects.

- Plan the work and efficiently organize the plant and site facilities in order to meet agreed deadlines.
- Oversee quality control and health and safety matters on site.
- Prepare reports as required.
- Set out, level and survey the site • Check plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations • Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.
- Team handling of site emplyees.

Qualifications

1. Solid understanding of technical drawings, layouts, and measurements, with the ability to interpret architectural and engineering plans and ensure accurate execution on site.
2. Proficiency in project coordination and scheduling, including tracking progress, managing timelines, and reporting status to stakeholders.
3. Solid grasp of workplace safety standards and regulatory compliance, with experience implementing safety procedures and conducting regular site checks.
4. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients, contractors, and internal teams, and to address concerns in a professional manner.
5. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to make timely decisions in a fast-paced site environment.
6. Relevant technical or vocational qualification in civil, mechanical, interior, or related field; a diploma or degree in engineering, construction management, or similar discipline is preferred.
7. Have 3-4 years of work experience in civil site supervision.
