Role Description The Senior Veterinary Doctor role is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru. The individual in this role will provide high-quality medical care to companion animals, including performing clinical examinations, diagnosing conditions, recommending treatment plans, and carrying out medical and surgical procedures.

Day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing patient case management, reviewing diagnostic reports, prescribing medications, and ensuring adherence to veterinary best practices and regulatory standards.

The Senior Veterinary

Doctor will mentor junior veterinarians and support staff,



contribute to medical protocols, and participate in client communication and education to improve pet health outcomes. This role may also involve collaborating with VetXplore’s partner organizations on clinical insights, training initiatives, and quality-of-care improvements.

Qualifications

- Strong clinical expertise in companion animal medicine and surgery, including diagnostics, treatment planning, and emergency care.
- Ability to supervise, mentor, and train veterinary teams and support staff, fostering a collaborative and learning-focused environment.
- Excellent client communication skills, with the ability to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive care clearly and empathetically.
- Solid understanding of veterinary ethics, regulatory standards, and quality assurance in clinical practice.
- Proficiency in using veterinary practice management software, electronic medical records, and basic digital tools.
- Recognized veterinary degree (BVSc or equivalent) and valid veterinary registration/license to practice; advanced certifications in specialized areas are an advantage.
- Demonstrated experience in a senior clinical role within a hospital or multi-doctor practice; experience in teaching or leading teams is preferred.
- Solid problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to continuous professional development.
