Key Responsibilities

- Independently manage end-to-end trademark prosecution, including filing, examination responses, hearings, renewals, assignments, and recordals.

- Conduct trademark availability, clearance, and registry searches, and provide legal opinions.

- Handle opposition, rectification, cancellation, and enforcement matters.

- Manage domestic and international trademark portfolios, including coordination with foreign counsel.

- Prepare and review legal documents, client correspondence, and portfolio reports.

- Maintain trademark docketing systems and ensure compliance with statutory deadlines.

- Coordinate with internal teams and supervise junior associates and support staff.

- Support customs recordation, anti-counterfeiting initiatives,



and trademark-related projects.

- Assist in client advisory, business development, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Qualifications

- LL.B. from a recognised university.

- 4-5 years of experience in trademark prosecution and portfolio management.

- Strong knowledge of the Trade Marks Act, 1999, and international trademark practice.

- Excellent drafting, legal research, analytical, and communication skills.

- Ability to manage multiple matters independently with robust attention to detail and organisational skills.
