Role Description:

The Senior Security Operations Engineer is a full-time, remote role responsible for leading and executing day-to-day security operations across client environments and internal systems. This position oversees monitoring and triage of security events, incident response, and root cause analysis, while continuously improving detection and response capabilities. The engineer designs, implements, and maintains security tools and automation, reviews security logs and alerts, and collaborates with consultants to support assessments against frameworks such as NIST CSF, etc. The role includes performing threat hunting, vulnerability assessments, and control validation, as well as contributing to playbooks, runbooks, and documentation.

Engineer also mentors team members, engages with clients to explain findings and recommendations, and supports advisory and audit projects with technical security expertise.

Qualifications:

- Robust foundation in Cybersecurity and Information Security, including risk assessment, security controls, and security best practices.
- Hands-on experience in Network Security, such as firewall management, IDS/IPS, VPNs, segmentation, and secure network design.
- Proficiency in Application Security, including secure coding principles, code review, vulnerability scanning, and remediation guidance.
- Expertise in Security Engineering, with the ability to design, implement,



and maintain security tooling (SIEM, EDR, SOAR, log management) and automation.
- Experience operating security functions for cloud and on-prem environments, including logging, monitoring, and incident response processes.
- Familiarity with relevant frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST CSF, NIST AI RMF, ISO27001, SOC 2, MAS TRM) and ability to apply them in operational contexts.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple priorities

Key Requirements/Eligibility Criteria: We're looking for an experienced #SecOpsEngineer to join our cybersecurity team and support enterprise security operations for one of our clients.

We're looking for someone with:

✅ 7-8 years of hands-on experience in #SecurityOperations (SecOps)

✅ Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Sentinel

✅ Experience in migrating #SIEM workloads from #Splunk to #Sentinel

✅ Hands-on experience designing and implementing MS Sentinel Playbooks using Azure Logic Apps

✅ Experience creating and maintaining analytics rules, automation workflows, incident response playbooks and security monitoring use cases

Nice to have

➕ Experience with GitHub Actions or other CI/CD tech for security automation

➕ Scripting experience using Python, PowerShell or JavaScript

➕ Familiarity with VS Code, GitHub Copilot or modern developer productivity tools

? Location: Bangalore (Hybrid: 2-3 days/week in office)
