Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Regulatory Affairs Manager with 1215 years of hands-on Nutraceutical/ Food Industry experience. In this role, you will lead the companys regulatory compliance strategy, ensure product portfolios (foods, beverages, personal care, or home care) meet local and international regulatory standards, and liaise with key government bodies and regulatory authorities. You will act as the technical and legal authority on labelling, ingredients, product registration, and advertising compliance across current and expanding markets.

Key Responsibilities

1. Regulatory Strategy & Compliance

- Formulate and execute end-to-end regulatory compliance strategies for new product developments (NPD), reformulations, and market expansions.
- Ensure all raw materials, additives, finished products, packaging, and labels comply with national and international standards (e.g., FSSAI, US FDA, EFSA, BIS, Legal Metrology, or regional equivalents).
- Monitor changing regulatory landscapes, assess commercial impacts, and proactively advise internal stakeholders (R&D;, Brand, Supply Chain, Legal).

2. Product Registration & Approvals

- Manage end-to-end product registration, licensing, and documentation processes required for domestic sales and international export markets.
- Prepare, review, and submit technical dossiers, safety assessments, and product dossiers to government authorities.
- Lead interactions during regulatory audits, inspections, and product approval workflows.

3. Pack & Artwork / Marketing Compliance

- Review and approve all product artwork, packaging claims, nutritional panels,ingredient statements, and marketing collateral to ensure strict legal and regulatory compliance.




- Collaborate closely with R&D; and Brand teams to substantiate product claims (e.g., Organic, non-GMO, health/wellness claims) without risk of misleading advertisement.

4. Authority & Government Liaison

- Function as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies, government officials, testing bodies, and industry associations.
- Represent the organization in industry bodies/committees to advocate for favourable, science-based regulatory frameworks.
- Handle customer complaints, product recall procedures, regulatory notices, or queries from enforcement authorities effectively and within statutory timelines.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Team Leadership

- Partner with R&D;, Quality Assurance, Procurement, and Supply Chain teams to integrate regulatory requirements early into product life cycles.
- Mentor and manage a team of regulatory specialists/executives, fostering technical growth and operational excellence.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Education: Bachelors / Master’s in Food Technology, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, or a related field. Post-graduation in Regulatory Affairs or Law is a plus.
- Experience:10 to 15 years of core experience in Regulatory Affairs within the Nutraceutical/ Food & Beverage industry.

- Technical Expertise:
- Deep understanding of food safety standards, All food safety and standard regulatory, and Legal Metrology.
- Experience with international regulatory frameworks (e.g., US FDA, EU regulations, GCC, APAC regulatory bodies) if export operations are involved.
- Proven track record of successful product registrations and claim substantiations.

- Solid negotiation, stakeholder management, and government relations abilities.
- Analytical mind with meticulous attention to detail and sound decision-making under ambiguity.
