Role Description This is a full time, on-site Senior Physical Design Engineer role based in Bengaluru South.

The Senior Physical Design

Engineer will lead and execute physical design activities, including floorplanning, placement, clock tree synthesis, routing, and timing closure for complex semiconductor designs. The role involves close collaboration with logic, circuit, and verification teams to ensure robust design implementation and sign-off.

Responsibilities include analyzing design constraints, resolving synthesis and layout issues, performing design optimizations, and supporting tape-out. The engineer will also mentor junior team members, contribute to process improvements,



and help define best practices for physical design within the organization.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Physical Design, including floorplanning, placement, CTS, routing, and timing closure.
- Candidates should possess solid expertise in Physical Verification, including DRC, LVS, and sign-off methodologies.
- Candidates should possess a strong foundation in Logic Design and Circuit Design for digital semiconductor systems.
- Candidates should possess experience in RTL Design, including interpretation of RTL for synthesis, constraints, and implementation.
- Experience with industry-standard EDA tools (such as Synopsys, Cadence, or Mentor) for physical design and verification.
- Proficiency in scripting (e.g., TCL, Python, or Perl) to automate design flows and improve efficiency.
- Solid analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills, with attention to detail and quality.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional engineering teams.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field, with relevant experience in VLSI or semiconductor design.
