Purpose/Objective

Team Member - Dry Cargo Operations is responsible for assisting in all aspects of dry cargo operations, including stack yard management, railway operations, heavy equipment utilization, and vessel operations, align with the organization's goals.

This role focuses adhering to budgets, service delivery, and maintaining the integrity of cargo throughout the handling process.

Key Responsibilities of Role

Dry Cargo Operational Oversight: Optimize the use of dumpers and equipment to minimize costs per metric ton for cargo shifting and equipment usage.

Work according to planned yard activities in coordination with rake planning to minimize stoppages during vessel discharging.

Cargo Quality Assurance: Prevent the mixing of different cargo grades and contamination with foreign materials in the yard and during rake loading.

Ensure adherence to General Dock Rules (GDR) and General Loading Rules (GLR) concerning contract conditions.

Financial Oversight: Ensure adherance to cost control measures and prevent financial losses due to cargo contamination, mix-ups, or non-achievement of GDR & GLR.

Achieve cost savings through the reduction of variable equipment hires and efficient equipment utilization.

Stack Yard Management: Adhere to stack yard management plans to facilitate efficient cargo evacuation from mechanized plots and achieve targets set by management.

Rake Utilization Efficiency:



Minimize rake demurrage, dead freight, and punitive charges through effective planning and coordination.

Equipment Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile equipment status with Operations & Maintenance (O&M;) prior to loading and discharging operations.

Ensure accurate reconciliation of customer stacks.

Vendor Management: Process bills, raise purchase requests as needed, follow up on payment processes for vendors, and coordinate customer field visits.

Digital Mindset: Keep up with digital and AI advancements to enhance business and maintain competitiveness.

Team Development: Promote a respectful and secure workplace, lead collaborative and productive teams, and mentor for growth and success.

Qualifications and Experience

Any Graduate with 5 Plus years of experience in Dry Cargo Operation in Port or CHP Plant
