Summary The candidate will be responsible for managing the complete design & development process and look and feel of the final product. He will also work towards Improving the performance design of existing products and researching and developing ideas and designing new products.

Key Responsibilities

● Design and develop mechanical assemblies, enclosures, and fixtures for simulator systems using SolidWorks and other CAD tools.

● Create and manage 3D models, 2D drawings, and BOMs in accordance with engineering standards.

● Collaborate with cross-functional teams — including Prototype, Electronics, and QA — to ensure seamless integration of design with system functionality.

● Conduct tolerance analysis, fitment checks, and material selection to ensure manufacturability and structural integrity.

● Support prototype fabrication, monitor assembly processes, and resolve design issues during testing and trials.

● Prepare technical documentation including design specifications, change notes, and revision updates.

● Work on the creation of digital twins, mock-ups, and simulation structures for product validation.

● Participate in design reviews and implement improvements based on feedback from R&D; and production.

● Ensure designs comply with defence manufacturing and quality standards.

Educational Qualification

Degree/Professional course in Mechanical/Automobile.

7-10 years of relevant experience in Design & 3D modelling & Drafting

Skills and Competencies

● Solid command of SolidWorks (3D Modelling, Assembly, Sheet Metal, and Drafting Modules).

● Good understanding of mechanical fabrication processes, and machining.

● Knowledge of GD&T;, materials, and manufacturing tolerances.

● Familiarity with prototype development and product life cycle management.
