Purpose The Commercial Operations Manager / Sr. Manager will be responsible for end-to-end coordination of new product launches and customer service operations for a portfolio of pharmaceutical formulations, primarily for the US market with additional responsibility for other global markets.
This includes managing made-to-order fulfillment cycles with 90–120 day lead times, coordinating internal teams to ensure timely delivery, monitoring forecasts, and overseeing accounts receivable follow-up to ensure healthy cash flow and customer satisfaction. N/A Job Responsibilities / Deliverables New Product Launch Management
- Lead and own the product launch readiness process starting ~180 days before target launch.
- Track regulatory approval status and align internal timelines to ensure readiness at the time of approval.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Regulatory, Manufacturing, Packaging, Quality, Logistics, Marketing) for artwork finalization, batch size scale-up, validation, batch release and documentation.
- Prepare and deliver launch-related documents: HDA sheets, safety data sheets, product pictures, website updates and other customer-specific materials.
- Track and report launch milestones, proactively identify risks and drive mitigation actions to ensure on-time market entry.
- Track and ensure achievement of regulatory milestones like FTF/ CGT etc
Order Fulfillment & Customer Service
- Serve as the primary operational interface with customers, predominantly based in the US.
- Manage made-to-order process: receive orders, issue confirmations, track internal planning, production and packaging to meet delivery timelines.
- Coordinate closely with supply chain and planning teams to align production schedules with customer requirements.
- Monitor and track monthly/quarterly forecasts from customers to proactively plan inventory and capacity.
- Manage and track open orders, provide proactive updates to customers, and quickly resolve issues or delays.
- Oversee customer documentation: shipping documents, COAs, SDS, product images, and ensure timely dispatch.
- Monitor and follow up on accounts receivable to ensure timely collections in coordination with finance teams.
- Analyze and report on service KPIs including forecast accuracy, on-time delivery, backlog, and AR status.
Additional Responsibilities
- Support portfolio planning by advising on operational lead times, risks and feasibility.
- Maintain structured dashboards and trackers for internal reporting to senior leadership.
- Engage with customers on periodic calls, QBRs (Quarterly Business Reviews), or audits focused on service and operational excellence.
- Identify and drive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce lead times and improve cash flow.

Qualifications & Pre-Requisites
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Science, Engineering or Business; MBA preferred.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in commercial operations, supply chain management, customer service or launch management in pharmaceutical formulations (preferably targeting US generics).
- Robust project management and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Exposure to regulatory requirements and new product launch processes in the US generics market.
- Effective communication, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, forecasting tools and reporting dashboards.
