Job Overview The Senior Executive Warehouse Operations, Refurbishment & Supply Chain is responsible for managing end-to-end warehouse operations, inventory health, refurbishment planning, quality assurance, vendor coordination, and supply chain execution. The role focuses on improving inventory utilization, reducing refurbishment costs, maintaining high quality standards, ensuring process compliance, and driving operational excellence across multiple warehouse locations.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. Warehouse Operations
- Manage day-to-day warehouse operations across multiple locations.
- Ensure accurate inventory management through barcode tracking.
- Monitor inward, outward, customer returns, and stock transfers.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through regular audits and cycle counts.
- Ensure proper storage, stacking, and warehouse housekeeping.
- Monitor warehouse productivity and operational KPIs.
- Coordinate with warehouse teams for timely order processing.
- Optimize warehouse space utilization and inventory flow.
- Ensure adherence to company SOPs and safety standards.
2. Inventory Management
- Maintain inventory health and availability.
- Monitor inventory conditions: Current, OK (Ready to Rent), Return, Partially Damaged (PD), Damage/Scrap.
- Reduce inventory aging and idle stock.
- Ensure barcode traceability throughout the product lifecycle.
- Prepare inventory reports and reconciliation reports.
- Identify inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
3. Refurbishment Planning & Operations
- Plan refurbishment activities based on inventory demand.
- Prioritize refurbishment according to business requirements.
- Allocate work to technicians and carpenters.
4. Quality Control (QC)
- Develop and implement QC processes.
- Conduct incoming, in-process, and dispatch quality inspections.
- Create and maintain QC checklists for furniture, sofa, TV, washing machines, refrigerators, microwave, and mattress.
- Monitor product quality trends.
- Identify recurring defects and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure customer-ready product quality before dispatch.
5. Vendor Management
- Manage refurbishment and repair vendors.
- Track vendor performance against agreed SLAs.
- Conduct vendor quality reviews.
- Handle warranty claim coordination with OEMs.
- Monitor service turnaround time.
- Support vendor negotiations and cost optimization.
- Ensure vendor compliance with company standards.
6. Process Improvement
- Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Implement operational improvements.
- Identify automation opportunities.
7. Audit & Compliance
- Conduct warehouse audits.
- Ensure process compliance.
- Verify inventory accuracy.
- Review safety practices.
- Monitor documentation.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Close audit observations within timelines.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics, or a related field.
- Certifications in Supply Chain, Lean, Six Sigma, Warehouse Management, or Quality Management are an added advantage.
Experience
- 6+ months of experience in Warehouse Operations, Inventory Management, Refurbishment, Quality Control, and Supply Chain.
- Experience in ERP-based warehouse operations.
- Experience managing multi-location warehouse operations.
- Experience in refurbishment and reverse logistics is preferred.
