Role Description The Senior ePub Developer is a full-time, on-site role based in Madurai. This role involves leading and executing end-to-end ePub and Aepub conversions, including structuring content, coding layouts, validating files, and ensuring compatibility across reading devices and platforms.

The Senior ePub Developer will review source files, implement best practices for accessibility and performance, troubleshoot formatting and technical issues, and optimize workflows for efficiency and quality. This role also includes mentoring junior team members, collaborating with cross-functional teams (such as QA and design), and maintaining documentation and standards for all conversion projects.





Qualifications

- Solid foundation in Computer Science, with an understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
- Hands-on experience in Software Development and Programming, preferably with languages and tools relevant to digital publishing and automation.
- Proficiency in Back-End Web Development concepts, including working with HTML, CSS, XML, and related technologies used in ePub production.
- Practical knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) for building maintainable, scalable scripts or tools to support ePub workflows.
- Experience with ePub standards, validation tools (such as EPUBCheck), and accessibility guidelines (WCAG or similar).
- Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent practical experience is also valued.
- Prior experience in digital publishing, ePub production, or related domains is highly beneficial.
