Role Description The Senior Engineer – SCM Purchase & Procurement is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Bengaluru Area. This role is responsible for end-to-end procurement activities for hydraulic components and related materials, including vendor identification, evaluation, negotiation, and order placement.

The Senior

Engineer oversees supply chain planning, monitors inventory levels, and coordinates with production, quality, and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of materials and adherence to cost and quality targets. Daily responsibilities include analyzing procurement data, optimizing supplier performance, managing contracts, resolving supply issues, and supporting process improvements in SCM and purchasing. The role also involves preparing reports,



maintaining compliance with company policies and industry standards and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders for continuous efficiency gains.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Supply Chain Management and Procurement skills, including vendor management, sourcing, negotiation, and inventory control.
- Minimum 4-6 years of experience in SCM-Purchase & Procurement , preferably in hydraulic component manufacturing, engineering or automobile industry.
- Solid Analytical Skills to interpret data, optimize costs, forecast demand, and support decision-making.
- Effective Communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, negotiate with suppliers, and present procurement insights.
- Knowledge of Industrial Engineering principles, including process optimization, production planning, and lean practices.
- Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, supply chain, or related field; experience in manufacturing or heavy engineering environments is preferred.
- Beneficial skills include proficiency in SAP or equivalent ERP systems.Understanding of quality standards, contract management, and familiarity with hydraulic components or automotive/construction equipment sectors.
