As a substation design engineer, you will be responsible for the design and engineering of EHV/HV substations, preparation of design drawings and technical documents, vendor drawing review, BOQ preparation, technical coordination, and ensuring compliance with applicable standards and project requirements.

Responsibilities
Design electrical substations (132kV/220kV/400kV/500kV) in accordance with technical specifications, project requirements, and safety standards.
Ensure compliance with relevant Indian standards (e.g., IS 694, IS 2026, IS 3231) and international standards (e.g., IEEE, IEC) in substation design.
Develop and review technical documents, drawings, and specifications.
Proficient in primary and secondary substation designing
Prepare detailed engineering designs for substations (AIS/GIS) including layout,



single line diagrams (SLD), and schematics.
Perform design calculations such as load flow, short circuit, grounding, and protection coordination.
Should have worked on software like E Tap / CymeDIST/ Dialux
Assist in the design and layout of electrical substations, including the selection and specification of electrical equipment.
Prepare technical documentation, reports, and drawings for substation projects.
Assist with the review and approval of vendor drawings and equipment specifications.
Participate in client meetings and resolve technical queries.

Eligibility Criteria
B.Tech / B.E. in Electrical Engg.
5 - 7 years of experience

Qualifications
Knowledge of electrical codes and standards (IEEE, IEC, NEC)
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Effective communication and coordination abilities.
Should have prior working experience in a Power consulting company
