We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer / Senior Platform Engineer with strong hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes-based platforms, CI/CD automation, and modern deployment tooling.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience within DevOps, with proven expertise in designing, maintaining, and optimising scalable infrastructure and delivery pipelines. This role requires a senior-level engineer who can work independently, support complex production environments, and collaborate effectively with engineering, architecture, security, and operations teams.

Responsibilities

- Design, build, maintain, and optimise cloud-native DevOps platforms and deployment workflows.
- Manage and support Kubernetes-based environments, particularly on AWS EKS.
- Implement and maintain GitOps-based deployment processes using ArgoCD.
- Work with service mesh technologies such as Istio to support secure and reliable service-to-service communication.
- Develop, maintain, and optimise CI/CD pipelines using GitLab / GitLab Pipelines.
- Support Java-based application build and deployment processes using Maven and Spring Boot tooling.
- Manage AWS infrastructure components
- Troubleshoot and improve platform reliability, deployment performance, network connectivity, and application delivery processes.
- Apply strong understanding of networking fundamentals,



including DNS, routing, load balancing, and traffic management.
- Perform Linux administration, scripting, automation, and operational support activities.
- Drive CI/CD optimisation, pipeline orchestration, and automation improvements.
- Collaborate with development, QA, architecture, and security teams to ensure efficient and secure software delivery.
- Promote best practices around containerisation, infrastructure automation, observability, and DevSecOps.

Mandatory Skills

- Senior-level DevOps Engineer with 8+ years of hands-on experience within DevOps
- Strong experience with ArgoCD
- Robust experience with Istio
- Robust hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, especially:

-EKS -EC2

-S3

-ALB

-NLB

-VPC

- Strong experience with GitLab and GitLab Pipelines
- Experience with Java build tooling, including Maven and ideally Spring Boot
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including:

-DNS -routing

-load balancing

-ingress/egress traffic flows

- Robust Linux administration and scripting skills
- Proven experience in CI/CD optimisation and pipeline orchestration
- Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure, deployment, and application delivery issues
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
