Controls
Engineer located in Bengaluru with some flexibility to work remotely. � As a Controls engineer, you will be responsible for designing and programming controls systems for industrial machinery and/or processes.
� Your day-to-day tasks will include developing electrical schematics, Electrical Panel Design and component selection, Selection & programming of PLCs, working with other engineers and designers, and testing and troubleshooting systems.
� The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, drafting, and supporting electrical control panels from concept through execution.
� This Includes sometimes travelling to client locations in America, Canada, Europe and Gulf Countries to execute the projects onsite. Key Responsibilities � We are seeking a candidate with 8+ years of experience in Industrial controls systems with Electrical design and selection of electrical components for electrical panels, PLC systems design, Programming, planning and execution onsite.
� The ideal candidate will possess deep domain expertise in PLC & HMI programming & understanding of electrical circuits & wiring and should have prior experience in Oil & Gas, Chemical, Cement, and Industrial Automation industries.
� Proficient in programming PLC�s & HMI�s, including Siemens, Allen Bradley, Schneider and others,
if any will be an added advantage.
� Experience in designing electrical schematics and reading design drawings � Familiarity with communication protocols, such as Modbus, Ethernet/IP, Profibus, ProfNet Etc.
� Understanding of industrial control systems and automation technologies � Bachelor�s or master�s degree in electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Automation Engineering. Recruit, train, and mentor a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and technicians.
� Define roles, responsibilities, KPIs, and performance metrics for the team.
� Establish processes and SOPs for design, testing.
� Define project scopes, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.
� Interface with clients, vendors, and cross-functional departments for smooth project execution.
� Design electrical system architecture, select components, and perform load calculations.
� Create power and control circuit diagrams including transformers, MCBs, MCCBs, and SMPS.
� Draft panel layouts, GA drawings, and internal arrangements using AutoCAD Electrical � Design PLC and HMI wiring, insert PLC modules, and connect field devices like sensors and solenoid valves, etc.
� Prepare terminal block details, cable schedules,
and pin assignment drawings.
� Create grounding, earthing, and communication network diagrams.
� compliance with electrical standards and working proficiency � Generate cutout drawings, label/ferrule lists, and documentation for assembly.
� Prepare device lists, BOMs, and support panel integration and testing.
� Assign roles, monitor progress, and provide technical mentoring to junior engineers.
� Act as the single POC for clients, and internal stakeholders for project delivery.
� Establish documentation protocols, process templates, and engineering guidelines for consistent execution across projects.
� Robust verbal/written communication and client-facing skills.
� Team builder who thrives under deadlines and adapts to field realities.
� Ability to manage simultaneous projects in fast-paced, industrial settings.
� Skilled in preparing daily/weekly progress reports, punch lists, and project status updates in formats needed by clients.
