About the Role

Smartedge Consulting is looking for an IMS–QEHS Consultant to support clients in establishing, implementing, auditing and improving Integrated Management Systems covering Quality, Environment and Occupational Health & Safety.

The role is ideal for a professional who can go beyond documentation and certification and help clients build practical systems that work and create measurable business value.

Additional knowledge will be an advantage:

ISO 50001, ISO 27001, ISO 22000/HACCP, IATF 16949, ISO 13485, ISO 17025, ISO 10002, ESG & Sustainability requirements and applicable legal compliance.

Key Responsibilities

- Consulting & Implementation

Understand client business processes and requirements.

Conduct ISO/IMS Gap Assessments.

Develop practical implementation plans.

Develop/review IMS manuals, policies, procedures, SOPs and formats.

Support implementation of Quality, Environmental and OH&S; processes.

Develop Risk & Opportunity Registers, HIRA, Aspect & Impact Registers and Legal Compliance Registers.

Establish objectives, KPIs and monitoring mechanisms.

Ensure documentation reflects actual client operations.

Conduct/facilitate training on

ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 awareness

Risk & Opportunity Management

HIRA / Risk Assessment

Audit & Certification Support

Prepare audit plans and checklists.

Conduct internal audits and identify gaps/nonconformities.

Prepare professional audit reports.

Support Root Cause Analysis and CAPA closure.

Verify corrective-action effectiveness.

Prepare clients for Stage 1 and Stage 2 certification audits.

Support clients during certification audits and closure of findings.

Management

Review & Improvement

Support Management Review Meetings.

Monitor objectives, KPIs, audit results, CAPA, legal compliance and operational performance.

Identify improvement opportunities.

Help clients move from compliance to continual improvement.

- Client & Project Management

Independently manage assigned consulting projects.





Coordinate with client management and process owners.

Track project timelines, deliverables and mandays.

Maintain project documentation and reports.

Communicate project progress and issues effectively.

Maintain client confidentiality and qualified integrity.

Build strong and long-term client relationships.

Business Development

Support

Participate in technical discussions with prospects.

Support preparation of proposals and scope of work.

Identify additional client requirements and cross-selling opportunities.

Support client presentations and technical meetings.

Generate referrals and repeat business through quality delivery.

Candidate Profile

Qualification & Certifications

Essential

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering / Science / Technology or equivalent.

ISO 9001 Lead Auditor qualification.

ISO 14001 Lead Auditor qualification.

ISO 45001 Lead Auditor qualification.

Preferred / Added Advantage

Integrated Management System (IMS) Lead Auditor qualification.

NEBOSH / IOSH or other recognized Safety qualification.

ISO 50001 Lead Auditor / Energy Management qualification.

ISO 27001 Lead Auditor qualification.

ISO 22000 / HACCP / Food Safety qualification.

ESG / Sustainability-related qualification.

Relevant sector-specific certifications.

Experience

Consultant: 3–8 years relevant experience

Senior Consultant: 8+ years relevant experience

Candidates should have practical experience in ISO consulting, implementation, auditing or QEHS management systems, with demonstrated ability to independently handle client assignments.

Audit & Consulting Competency The candidate should be capable of:

Conducting ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 audits.

Performing IMS Gap Assessments.

Developing and implementing integrated management systems.

Preparing audit plans, checklists and audit reports.

Identifying nonconformities and improvement opportunities.





Conducting Root Cause Analysis and verifying CAPA effectiveness.

Supporting Stage 1 and Stage 2 certification audits.

Conducting management-system training and Internal Auditor Training.

Advising clients on practical implementation and continual improvement.

Important: Lead Auditor certificates should preferably be from recognized/accredited training providers, and candidates should be able to demonstrate practical audit/consulting experience—not only certification.

Experience

Consultant: 3–8 years relevant experience

Senior Consultant: 8+ years relevant experience

Experience in ISO consulting, implementation, auditing or industry QEHS functions is preferred.
