Job Summary
The Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) – English is responsible for delivering engaging, student-centered instruction in English language and literature to senior secondary students. The role focuses on developing students' reading, writing, speaking, listening, and critical thinking skills while ensuring alignment with the prescribed curriculum and school standards. The teacher will contribute to students' academic excellence and overall personality development.
Key Responsibilities

Academic Responsibilities

Plan and deliver effective English lessons in accordance with the prescribed curriculum.
Teach English language, literature, grammar, writing skills, and communication techniques.
Develop annual, monthly, and weekly lesson plans.
Prepare and administer assessments, assignments, projects, and examinations.
Evaluate student performance and provide timely, constructive feedback.




Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
Integrate digital tools and creative teaching methodologies into classroom instruction.

Classroom Management

Create a positive, inclusive, and disciplined learning environment.
Encourage active participation, critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration.
Maintain accurate attendance, assessment, and academic records.
Ensure classroom safety and adherence to school policies.

Student Development

Mentor and guide students in academic and personal growth.
Identify learning gaps and provide additional academic support where required.
Encourage reading habits, public speaking, debates, creative writing, and literary activities.
Support students in preparing for board examinations and competitive assessments where applicable.

Assessment & Reporting
