This role involves building and managing real-time, high-volume payment systems with a strong focus on availability, resilience, security, performance, and AI-assisted engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end delivery of IMPS/AEPS/NETC/CTS platforms

- Drive system improvements in performance, scalability, and resilience

- Ensure regulatory compliance and secure system design

- Own API lifecycle management and service governance

- Implement AI-assisted development practices responsibly

- Define standards for AI adoption in engineering workflows





- Mentor engineers and promote engineering best practices & automation

- Build and operate high-availability, fault-tolerant distributed systems

Requirements

- Strong expertise in Java (Spring Boot), Microservices, Distributed Systems

- Experience with Apache Kafka / event-driven architectures

- Solid knowledge of databases: Oracle, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, YugabyteDB, KDB+

- Hands-on with AI-assisted development tools (Copilots, AI code assistants)

- Experience in containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)

- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab)

- Familiarity with API gateways (Kong, NGINX)

- Strong understanding of performance tuning, concurrency, resilience patterns

Key Skills and Experience Required

- Proven experience building large-scale payment / banking systems

- Strong background in real-time, mission-critical applications

- Experience managing high transaction volume systems

- Ability to balance AI-driven productivity with engineering rigor

- Strong leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder collaboration skills

Preferred

- Experience in IMPS / AEPS / NETC / CTS or similar payment platforms

- Exposure to regulatory and compliance-driven ecosystems

- Experience in modern engineering practices and DevOps environments
