The Role
The role focuses on underwriting, marketing, and portfolio management across Commercial Lines—including Marine, Casualty and Financial lines, Specie and other lines we may plan for—within our reinsurance operations based in GIFT City, India. The underwriter will play a key role in strengthening our position as a leading reinsurance market by building and managing strong cedant relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and delivering solutions where our products bring meaningful value.
Key Responsibilities
Underwriting in accordance with company guidelines for Commercial Lines products like marine, casualty and financial lines products
Manage renewal retention and achieve new business targets
Develop and maintain relationships with distribution partners (cedant, brokers)
Prepare and deliver presentations for distribution partners engagement, including supporting materials for events and marketing initiatives
Provide product, marketing, and technical training to distribution partners
Ensure assigned budget and KPI goals are met
Seek ways to improve organizational efficiency, effectiveness, and profitability
Perform additional duties as assigned by senior management

The Candidate - Skills, Qualifications & Experience
General Insurance Industry Certified qualification
At least 2-3 years of relevant Insurance industry experience in underwriting and/or business development
Ability to combine entrepreneurial & commercial approach with prudent underwriting
Entrepreneurial mindset – ability to identify and make the most of opportunities, overcome
