FabConnect is looking for a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant / Chartered Accountant to join the Finance team of a growing e-commerce organization.

This is a key finance role for a professional who can take ownership of accounting operations, statutory compliance, financial reporting, cash-flow management, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, and management reporting while providing meaningful financial insights to support business decisions.

Qualification: Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) – Mandatory

Industry Preference: E-commerce experience highly preferred

About the RoleAs a Senior Accountant / CA, you will be responsible for maintaining the financial integrity of the organization and ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial operations.

The position requires someone with strong accounting fundamentals, excellent analytical ability, commercial understanding, attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with management and cross-functional teams.

You will play an important role in financial planning, compliance, cash-flow management, profitability analysis, budgeting, forecasting, risk management, and process improvement.

Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Management

Review and oversee day-to-day accounting activities including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Bank Reconciliations

Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

Prepare and review Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Statement, and Cash Flow Statement

Monitor cash flow, budget variances, financial performance, and working-capital requirements

Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records

Taxation & Statutory Compliance

Ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations, taxation laws, and accounting standards

Handle preparation and filing of statutory returns including Income Tax, TDS, and other applicable taxes

Coordinate with external auditors, tax authorities, consultants, and regulatory agencies

Ensure statutory timelines and compliance requirements are consistently met

Financial Analysis & Management Reporting





Conduct detailed financial analysis to support strategic and operational decision-making

Prepare management reports highlighting financial trends, risks, opportunities, and performance indicators

Analyze revenue, expenses, margins, profitability, and business performance

Provide actionable financial insights to management

Develop financial models for revenue, expense, and cash-flow projections

Cash Flow ManagementPrepare monthly cash-flow statements

Analyze cash inflows, outflows, trends, and variances

Identify potential liquidity requirements and operational funding needs

Recommend strategies to improve working-capital and cash-flow efficiency

Budget vs Actual AnalysisPrepare and maintain detailed Budget vs Actual Statements

Identify significant financial variances and investigate underlying causes

Work closely with department heads to understand spending and performance

Recommend corrective measures where necessary

Update budgets and forecasts based on changing business conditions

Budgeting & ForecastingUse historical data, business trends, and operational insights to forecast future financial performance

Prepare revenue, expense, profitability, and cash-flow forecasts

Regularly review forecasts and revise projections based on business developments

Support management with financial planning and strategic decision-making

P&L; ManagementPrepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual Profit & Loss Statements

Identify key revenue and cost drivers impacting profitability

Conduct detailed variance and profitability analysis

Present P&L; insights to management to support operational improvements and business decisions

Process Improvement & Internal ControlsReview accounting processes and identify opportunities for greater efficiency and accuracy

Strengthen financial controls and accounting procedures

Identify opportunities for automation and system improvement

Reduce manual processes and improve reporting accuracy





Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize financial workflows and systems

Risk ManagementIdentify financial and operational risks and recommend mitigation strategies

Monitor internal controls to safeguard organizational assets

Support fraud-prevention and financial-governance initiatives

Keep abreast of regulatory and industry changes that could impact the business

What We're Looking ForQualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with recognized professional certification

Strong relevant experience in Accounting, Finance, Financial Reporting, Taxation, and Compliance

Experience in an e-commerce environment will be highly preferred

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation laws, statutory compliance, and financial regulations

Hands-on experience with accounting software / ERP systems

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Strong knowledge of cash-flow management, budgeting, forecasting, MIS, and P&L; analysis

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

High level of accuracy and attention to detail

Ability to interpret complex financial data and translate it into meaningful business insights

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to collaborate effectively with management and cross-functional departments

Comfortable handling multiple responsibilities and working within strict financial deadlines
