About the Role

We are seeking a highly disciplined, experienced, and dynamic Security Manager (SM) to lead security operations, guest safety, and risk management for our flagship 5-star premium luxury hotel in Trivandrum, along with oversight of selected group hospitality properties (including bar-attached hotels) nearby.

As the SM, you will be responsible for safeguarding guests, staff, assets, and reputation. You will design, implement, and audit security protocols, manage emergency response strategies, maintain regulatory compliance, and lead a professional security team across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities:- Operational Security & Vigilance: Establish, implement, and audit standard operating procedures (SOPs) for security across all properties, including guest screening, access control, perimeter security, and VIP protection.

Property Oversight: Maintain active operational surveillance over the flagship 5-star hotel as well as affiliated nearby bar-attached properties, ensuring strict crowd management, conflict de-escalation, and loss prevention.

Emergency Preparedness & Crisis Management: Act as the incident commander for emergency situations (fire, medical emergencies, security threats, civil disturbance). Conduct regular drills and maintain working fire-safety systems.

Liaison & Compliance: Serve as the primary point of contact for local law enforcement, police stations, excise department authorities, fire services, and municipal intelligence agencies.



Ensure full legal compliance across all properties.

Team Leadership & Vendor Management: Lead, train, and mentor internal security supervisors and outsourced security agency personnel. Conduct regular shift briefings and performance evaluations.

Surveillance & Technology Management: Oversee the functionality, maintenance, and compliance of CCTV networks, access control systems, metal detectors, and control room operations.

Investigation & Loss Prevention: Conduct thorough internal investigations into missing assets, guest complaints, security breaches, or policy violations, submitting formal reporting to executive leadership.

Key Requirements & Qualifications

Background: Ex-Defence (Indian Army, Navy, Air Force) or Retired Police Personnel (Sub-Inspector rank or above) strongly preferred.

Experience: Minimum 8–12 years of total security experience, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership or managerial capacity (hospitality or service industry experience is a major plus).

Skills & Competencies: Exceptional crisis-handling and conflict resolution capabilities.

Strong knowledge of local security, liquor/excise regulations, and fire safety laws in Kerala.

Excellent leadership, physical fitness, and qualified demeanour suitable for a 5-star luxury environment. Strong verbal communication in Malayalam and English.

Mobility: Valid driving license and willingness to travel between properties within Trivandrum as needed.
