Job Title: SAP Tax QA Lead / Analyst
Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka, India (Hybrid)
Rockwoods is actively seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance & Tax Domain Specialist to join our growing team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between tax compliance and technical execution, ensuring the seamless performance and accuracy of our global tax systems and SAP modules.
Key Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate brings a strong combination of Testing & Domain knowledge. Tax domain knowledge, data analytics expertise, and reporting skills, enabling them to deliver high quality, compliant, and audit-ready tax deliverables across jurisdictions.
- Define and develop comprehensive test plans for Tax modules based on project requirements, mentoring team members in creating test scripts.
- Implement standard testing lifecycles (Agile/Waterfall) with hands-on leadership in end-to-end test execution across all phases (Unit, System Integration, Regression Testing).
- Partner with Test Automation Engineers to convert Key manual test scripts into automated tests.
- Collaborate closely with the functional team to understand business needs, translating them into robust test scripts.
- Track and document defects with established defect management tools and participate in defect triage meetings.
- Provide accurate, timely updates on testing progress, risks, and defect status to Test Managers and stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Understand global tax reporting requirements (both for direct and indirect taxes), convert into Test scenarios.
- Experience with global tax engines Knowledge on implementation of tax data reporting solutions in systems and tools Experience as in-house direct (corporate)
and in-direct tax person of an Indian subsidiary of a foreign parent
- Respond to ad hoc tax data reporting testing requests and regulatory inquiries from various stakeholders (internal and external)
- Ensure integrity and compliance of submitted (tax) data through reconciliations, quality checks, and process controls Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Tax, Finance, Tax Accounting, etc.) to enhance reporting processes and drive automation
Role Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum 6+ years experience in Tax, Finance/Fintech area experiences
- Must have experience in any of the Tax module
- Must have SAP FICO E2E testing experience.
- Good to have Tax Engine knowledge
- Good to have Testing experience or knowledge in the E2E Testing process.
- Proficient in JIRA, XRAY and other test management tools.
- Result orientation and ability to meet and establish deadlines.
- Ability to collaborate with cross functional teams, good communication skills (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills. Team player

- Prepare working files for Direct and Indirect tax returns.
- Assisting team with tax accounting issues and queries
- Identify opportunities to enhance tax accounting and reporting processes, systems, and tools to improve efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with local statutory requirements.
