Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced SAP CAPM Architect to lead the design and development of cloud-native applications on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) using the CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model) framework. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in designing scalable enterprise applications and should have successfully developed and delivered multiple CAP-based applications .

Key Responsibilities

? Architecture & Design

- Define and lead architecture for SAP BTP application development using CAP (Node.js)
- Design scalable, secure, and cloud-native applications
- Establish best practices for side-by-side extensibility in S/4HANA

? Application Development

- Lead development of CAP-based services and applications
- Define data models using CDS (Core Data Services for CAP)
- Build and expose OData/REST APIs
- Ensure optimized performance and clean service layer designs

? Technical Leadership

- Mentor and guide development teams on CAPM, Node.js, and cloud architecture
- Drive adoption of modern development practices (CI/CD, DevOps)
- Ensure compliance with coding standards and design principles

? Integration & Extensibility

- Integrate SAP and non-SAP systems via APIs
- Architect event-driven and microservices-based integrations
- Work with services like:
- SAP API Management
- SAP Event Mesh
- SAP Integration Suite

? Project Delivery

- Participate and lead full lifecycle delivery:
- Requirement analysis
- Solution design
- Development and testing
- Deployment and production support




- Manage delivery across multiple CAP-based applications

? Governance & Quality

- Ensure security, scalability, and performance standards
- Conduct architecture reviews and code reviews
- Maintain documentation and architecture artifacts

Required Skills & Qualifications ✅ Core Technical Skills

- Strong experience in SAP CAPM (Cloud Application Programming Model)
- Proficiency in:
- Node.js and/or Java
- CDS (CAP Data Models)
- OData services (V2/V4)
- Hands-on experience with SAP BTP

✅ Cloud & Architecture Skills

- Experience designing cloud-native applications (microservices architecture)
- Expertise in:
- REST APIs
- Event-driven architecture
- Security (OAuth, JWT, XSUAA)
- Knowledge of multi-tenant SaaS application design

✅ SAP Ecosystem

- Integration with S/4HANA
- Familiarity with:
- RAP (ABAP RESTful Model)
- Fiori/UI5 applications
- Experience in side-by-side extensibility patterns

✅ Application Development Experience

- Developed and delivered 5–10+ CAP applications (or equivalent enterprise cloud apps)
- Experience in enterprise-grade app design & deployment

Leadership & Soft Skills

- Proven ability to lead architecture discussions and development teams
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
- Mentoring and coaching capabilities

Valuable to Have Skills

- Experience with SAP Fiori/UI5 or Fiori Elements
- DevOps tools (CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
- SAP HANA Cloud
- Kubernetes / Docker exposure
- Knowledge of Clean Core principles in SAP

Educational Qualifications

- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or Engineering
