Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Business Development professional to drive growth in our Inboard (IB) Steering Division. This role focuses on PSU/Defense project capture, shipyard tender management, and expanding sales for marine steering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Tendering & Defence Capture: Identify upcoming marine projects (Cochin Shipyard, Goa Shipyard, Mazagon Dock, GRSE) and manage end-to-end e-tendering (GeM/PSU portals), technical compliance, and bid preparation.
- Specification Strategy: Collaborate with naval architects and shipyard design teams to get Glydus steering systems pre-qualified/specified during initial vessel design.
- Account Farming & Revenue Growth: Secure repeat orders from shipyards, commercial fishing boat builders, and consultants; upsell advanced systems (Engine Driven & Electric Power Steering).
- Technical & Contractual Execution: Translate complex technical requirements (torque, rudder angles) for R&D;/Production, manage contract terms (LCs,



bank guarantees, LD clauses), and ensure class certifications (IRS, ABS, Lloyd’s).
- Pipeline & Market Intelligence: Track long-term vessel construction pipelines and monitor competitor positioning.

Candidate Requirements

- Education: B.E. / B.Tech (Mechanical / Industrial) + MBA in Marketing.
- Experience: 0 to 6 Years in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Automobile industries.
- Age Limit: 28 years.
- Core Competencies:
- Understanding in e-procurement (GeM and PSU tender portals).
- Basic understanding of marine/inboard hydraulic circuits, system integration, and class certification standards.
- Contract management, risk assessment, and CRM/project management tools.
- Strong negotiation and cross-functional coordination skills.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
