About the Role

We are seeking a technically proficient and results-oriented Sales Engineer with 2-4 years of relevant experience in the edible oil, soap, detergent, chemical processing, industrial machinery, or turnkey plant/project industry.

The candidate will be responsible for B2B business development, technical sales, customer engagement, and project-based sales, with the ability to understand process requirements and recommend appropriate plant, machinery, and engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify and develop new B2B business opportunities across the edible oil, soap, detergent, and chemical processing industries.
- Generate leads through market research, customer visits, industry networks, exhibitions, referrals, and other business channels.
- Build strong relationships with plant owners, manufacturers, purchase teams, technical personnel, consultants, and key decision-makers.
- Understand customer requirements including production capacity, process flow, plant requirements, and expansion plans, and coordinate suitable technical solutions.
- Prepare and present technical proposals, commercial quotations, presentations, and project offers in coordination with the technical team.
- Conduct customer meetings and site visits, and provide technical support throughout the pre-sales and sales process.
- Lead commercial discussions and negotiate pricing, specifications, delivery schedules, and contractual terms.
- Manage enquiries and sales opportunities from initial contact through quotation, negotiation, order conversion, and handover.
- Coordinate with engineering, production, procurement, and project teams to ensure effective execution of customer requirements.
- Monitor market trends,



competitor activities, pricing, technologies, and emerging business opportunities.
- Represent the company at trade fairs, exhibitions, conferences, and industry events.
- Maintain an updated sales pipeline/CRM and provide regular sales forecasts, activity reports, and market intelligence to management.

Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of industrial plant and machinery sales and technical B2B selling.
- Practical understanding of edible oil, soap, detergent, or chemical manufacturing processes.
- Ability to interpret customer requirements and translate them into commercially viable technical solutions.
- Strong business development, lead generation, negotiation, and sales closing skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and relationship-management abilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving approach.
- Ability to prepare qualified technical and commercial proposals.
- Working knowledge of MS Office and AutoCAD.
- Ability to read and understand basic process flow diagrams, technical drawings, and equipment specifications will be an advantage.
- Good follow-up, pipeline management, and sales forecasting skills.
- Commercial awareness with a customer-focused and target-oriented approach.
- Self-driven, organized, and capable of managing multiple sales opportunities simultaneously.
- Willingness to undertake domestic and international travel as required.
