Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sales Engineer role based in the Greater Kolkata Area.

The Sales

Engineer will identify and pursue business opportunities, engage with industrial customers, and promote DIGICON’s automation, instrumentation, and Panel solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include understanding client processes and technical requirements, preparing proposals and quotations, delivering product demonstrations and technical presentations, and coordinating with internal engineering teams to design suitable solutions.



The role involves providing pre- and post-sales technical support, addressing customer inquiries and issues, and maintaining strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.

The Sales

Engineer will also track sales activities, maintain accurate records in CRM or sales tools, and contribute to market feedback and product improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Sales Engineering and Technical Support skills, including the ability to understand industrial automation and instrumentation solutions and translate them into customer-focused proposals.
- Candidates should possess solid Sales and Customer Service skills, with experience in prospecting, account management, and maintaining long-term client relationships.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills, including clear technical and non-technical communication, presentation abilities, and collaborative interaction with cross-functional teams.
- Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related engineering fields are highly beneficial.
- Knowledge of industrial automation, process control, gas detection, LT Panels, or related products, and familiarity with the Eastern India industrial market will be an advantage.
- Ability to work in office at customer locations, readiness to travel within the region, and strong problem-solving and analytical skills are desirable.
