Role Description The Risk Manager is a full time, on-site role based in Kochi, responsible for overseeing and strengthening the company’s risk management framework across lending and related financial services. This role includes identifying, assessing, and monitoring credit, operational, market, and compliance risks, and recommending appropriate mitigation measures.
The Risk
Manager will develop and maintain risk policies, models, and reporting mechanisms, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and internal governance standards. Daily tasks include analyzing portfolio performance,
reviewing branch-level risk indicators, coordinating with business, operations, and audit teams, and preparing risk dashboards and reports for senior management. The role also involves supporting risk-related training, contributing to digital risk initiatives, and participating in internal committees and reviews.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in risk management, including credit, operational, and compliance risk assessment and monitoring.
- Experience in financial services or NBFCs, with a working understanding of gold loan or secured lending products.
- Proficiency in data analysis, risk modeling, and using analytical tools or spreadsheets to interpret portfolio trends.
- Knowledge of RBI regulations, internal control frameworks, and governance standards relevant to NBFC operations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports, policies, and presenting risk insights.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, influence stakeholders, and support a culture of disciplined risk-taking.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Risk Management, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- Professional certifications in risk (e.g., FRM, PRM, or equivalent) are an advantage.
- Demonstrated integrity, attention to detail, and structured problem-solving skills.
