Fun Work Environment! There's no doubt that being a bus driver is an important job, but you know what? Here in Westerville City Schools, we have fun doing it! Every year, our team sponsors a "First Time Riders" event and performs the internationally-acclaimed (yes, seriously!) "School Bus: the Musical" to help students learn how to ride a bus safely.
Our drivers participate in the annual "Ohio School Bus Driver Safety ROAD-E-O"; we have a recognition program to honor exceptional performance; and we like to surprise our team with some fun, unexpected things, like celebrating "National Eat Ice Cream for Breakfast Day."
We Care About You!
We provide our drivers with a tremendous amount of support and make your safety, as well as the safety of your passengers, a top priority. We work in a contemporary facility, drive up-to-date vehicles (named a Top 40 Green Fleet in America), and have a full-time position dedicated to support student safety and discipline. If you have any minor mishaps, our goal is to help our drivers improve.
We take a team approach to provide additional training, as well as follow-up support, that helps you do your job better. In fact, we were featured on the local news as a Transportation Department that provides a model support program for its employees.
