Retail Operations Head – Garment Industry

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Retail Operations Head to manage and expand a growing garment retail chain across Tamil Nadu.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in multi-store retail operations, new showroom expansion, team building, commercial negotiations, and sales performance management.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day operations of multiple retail showrooms.
- Drive showroom sales targets and ensure adherence to SOPs and brand standards.
- Identify potential locations for recent showroom expansion across Tamil Nadu.
- Conduct market surveys, evaluate footfall, and finalize suitable locations.
- Handle rental, lease, and commercial negotiations with property owners.
- Recruit and build teams including Showroom Incharges and Sales Associates.
- Monitor store performance, manpower, stock readiness, and sales KPIs.
- Regularly visit stores and monitor field-level operations.
- Report expansion progress and store performance to the management.

Candidate Requirements




- Minimum 5 years of experience in managing retail chains or multiple showrooms.
- Experience in Garment, Apparel, FMCG, or similar retail industries is preferred.
- Hands-on experience in new store setup and expansion.
- Strong understanding of retail KPIs such as sales/sq.ft., conversion rate, shrinkage, and average bill value.
- Experience in recruiting and managing showroom and sales teams.
- Excellent communication skills in Tamil; working knowledge of English preferred.
- Must be willing to travel extensively across Tamil Nadu.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, decision-making, and team management skills.
- Target-oriented and comfortable working in a rapid-paced retail environment.

Compensation & Benefits
- Fixed Salary: ₹75,000 per month
- Performance Incentives: Based on store sales and current store expansion
- Travel & Stay Expenses: Reimbursed as per company policy
