About the Role

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Research Analyst to support market intelligence, policy research, and government-facing communications. This role is ideal for professionals who enjoy deep research, structured analysis, and translating data into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders and public-sector institutions.

You will work closely with policy teams, industry stakeholders, and government bodies, contributing to research-driven decision-making and policy advocacy initiatives.

Key Responsibilities In this role, you will:

- Conduct market intelligence research on Indian as well as global textile and technical textile markets.
- Perform data mining, data collection on production, capacity, price, investment, export, import, and validation from primary and secondary sources.
- Engage with member exporters to understand market challenges, opportunities, future outlook, projections, etc.
- Data Analysis, Report writing on Products and Markets, make scientific projections.
- Disseminate market intelligence updates, trade data, and policy information to members.
- Support preparation of policy notes, industry representations, vision documents, and knowledge papers.
- Independently draft replies to the Government Departments.

Requirements

Desired Candidate Profile

- Have a robust foundation in research, data analysis, and policy-oriented reporting

- Are comfortable working with government data, regulatory frameworks, and formal documentation





- Can independently manage end-to-end research assignments with minimal supervision

- Possess excellent written English skills, especially for drafting formal reports and government communications

- Demonstrate close attention to detail, data integrity, and analytical rigor

- Are confident engaging with government officials, regulators, and industry stakeholders

- Are proactive, structured, and capable of managing multiple research priorities simultaneously

Qualifications & Experience

- Education: MBA or Postgraduate degree in Economics (or related discipline)

- Preferred Specialization: Economics, International Trade, Statistics, or Public Policy

- Experience: 5–8 years in research, market intelligence, data analysis, or policy support roles

Mandatory Skills

- Data mining and data analysis

- Advanced MS Excel and analytical tools

- Research report writing and documentation

- Strong written and spoken English

- Drafting government replies, submissions, and representations

Preferred / Value-Add Skills

- Exposure to export–import, trade bodies, or industry associations

- Understanding of economic indicators and trade policy frameworks

- Experience with presentations, dashboards, or data visualization tools
