Role Overview
Research Analyst Government Advisory supports the firm’s advisory engagements through research, document drafting, and proposal development across sectors. The role is research and document intensive - preparing proposals, detailed project reports (DPRs), concept notes, presentations, and research outputs — and requires robust analytical thinking, structured writing, and attention to detail. The Analyst works across assignments and sectors, translating research and inputs into clear, high-quality documents for internal teams and government and institutional stakeholders.
To support evidence-based policy formulation and Government decision-making through structured research, analytical insights, benchmarking, and preparation of high-quality advisory documents
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Policy research & analysis — Undertake secondary research on sectors, policies, schemes, tenders, and emerging trends to support advisory assignments. To Conduct comparative policy analysis, sector benchmarking, and best-practice research to support Government reforms, strategic initiatives, and advisory engagements
- Data analysis & insight generation — Analyse qualitative and quantitative data from multiple sources, synthesize key findings,
and develop actionable insights to support policy recommendations and project deliverables
- Draft documents & notes — Prepare concept notes, briefing notes, background notes, executive summaries, and reports with clarity and accuracy.
- Support proposal development — Assist in preparing proposals, bids, EOIs, and RFP responses, coordinating inputs from internal teams and domain experts.
- Prepare DPRs & project documents — Support preparation of detailed project reports (DPRs), feasibility inputs, and project documentation.
- Build presentations — Develop structured presentations, briefing decks, and visual summaries for internal and external audiences.
- Track opportunities & tenders — Monitor tenders, EOIs, policy developments, and market opportunities relevant to the firm.
- Prepare intelligence & sector briefs — Compile intelligence briefs, sector analyses, and insight notes to support advisory work.
- Support documentation & knowledge management — Maintain proposal repositories, credentials, project sheets, trackers, and knowledge assets.
- Coordinate & follow up — Coordinate with internal teams and stakeholders and ensure timely follow-up on inputs and deliverables.
- Additional responsibilities — Undertake other research and documentation tasks assigned in line with organisational priorities.
Skills & Competencies
- Research & analytical capability — Ability to conduct structured research and synthesise information into clear insights.
- Data analysis & insight generation — Analyse qualitative and quantitative data from multiple sources, synthesize key findings,
and develop actionable insights to support policy recommendations & project deliverables
- Document drafting & writing — Strong ability to draft transparent, concise notes, reports, and DPRs.
- Proposal & business writing — Ability to prepare proposals, EOIs, and client-facing documents.
- Presentation development — Ability to build structured, compelling presentations and briefing decks.
Underpinned by ownership, adaptability, and professional conduct across diverse assignments and sectors. Qualifications & Experience
- Education — Bachelor’s degree in Management, Economics, Commerce, Public Policy, Engineering, Political Science, Development Studies, Law, Liberal Arts, or a related discipline.
- Preferred — Master’s / MBA / PGDM in Management, Public Policy, Economics, Development Studies, or a related field.
- Experience — 1–3 years of experience in research, proposal development, documentation, consulting, or advisory, with demonstrated writing and analytical ability. Internship or project exposure to proposals, DPRs, or research is an added advantage. Experience in working with Private & Govt organisation, experience in deploying projects related to Government will be preferred.
Tools & Technical Proficiency Mandatory: MS Word (Advanced), PowerPoint, Excel (Advanced), Google Workspace, and AI productivity / documentation tools.
Desired: Power BI / Tableau, Notion / ClickUp / Asana, online research databases, and workflow-automation tools.
