Company Description State Public Health Laboratory Assam is a key public health institution responsible for supporting disease surveillance, diagnostic services, and quality assurance for laboratories across the state. Role Description The Representative role is a full-time, in office position based in Guwahati at the State Public Health Laboratory Assam. The Representative will serve as a primary point of contact between the laboratory and external stakeholders, including healthcare facilities, government departments, and community partners.
Day-to-day tasks include coordinating sample collection and delivery, tracking requests and reports, and ensuring timely communication of test results and related information. The role involves documenting interactions, maintaining accurate records, and supporting dissemination of public health advisories and laboratory guidelines.
The Representative will also assist in organizing meetings, responding to inquiries, and supporting outreach activities that promote awareness of the laboratory’s services and protocols.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with healthcare providers, government officials, and community stakeholders.
- Candidates should possess organizational and administrative skills, including record-keeping, data entry, and basic documentation management.
- Candidates should possess coordination and time-management skills to handle multiple requests, follow up on pending cases, and ensure timely delivery of information.
- Candidates should possess basic digital literacy skills, including use of email, office software, and online reporting tools.
- Relevant educational background such as a bachelor’s degree in public health, life sciences, social sciences, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in public health, healthcare administration, or government programs would be beneficial.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a structured environment and maintain confidentiality of sensitive health information is essential.
- Proficiency in English and local languages, and familiarity with the regional healthcare system, will be an advantage.
