Role Description This is a full time, on-site Reporter role based in Kerala, India. The Reporter will research, investigate, and gather information on company activities, industry developments, and regional events relevant to PETROJET’s operations.
Responsibilities include writing clear, accurate news reports and feature articles,
conducting interviews with internal and external stakeholders, and preparing content for internal publications, digital platforms, and multimedia channels. The Reporter will collaborate with communication and corporate affairs teams to ensure consistency of messaging, adhere to editorial guidelines, and meet tight deadlines. The role also involves verifying facts, maintaining ethical reporting standards, and adapting content for diverse audiences.
Qualifications
- Strong reporting skills, including information gathering, interviewing, and fact-checking.
- Excellent writing and news writing abilities, with capacity to produce clear, concise, and accurate content.
- Effective communication skills to engage with sources, colleagues, and stakeholders at different levels.
- Basic to intermediate multimedia skills (e.g., photography, video, audio, or digital storytelling) for cross-platform content.
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Media Studies, or a related field.
- Ability to work on-site in Kerala, India, with strong time management and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with energy, infrastructure, or industrial sectors is an advantage.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of regional languages is a plus.
- Commitment to ethical journalism, accuracy, and non-discriminatory reporting practices.
