Role Description The Reporter role is a full-time, on-site position based in Kottayam. The Reporter will research and gather news, conduct interviews, and verify information from multiple sources to produce accurate and compelling stories.

Daily responsibilities include writing and editing news articles, developing story ideas, covering local events, and collaborating with editors and multimedia teams to create text, photo, and video content. The role also involves monitoring current affairs, adhering to ethical reporting standards,



and meeting deadlines while maintaining clarity and objectivity in all published work.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Reporting and News Writing skills, with the ability to identify newsworthy stories and present them clearly.
- Candidates should possess excellent Writing and Communication skills, including the ability to interview sources and convey complex information in accessible language.
- Candidates should possess basic Multimedia skills, such as working with photos, videos, or audio to support digital and social media content.
- Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, fact-checking abilities, and a commitment to ethical journalism and accuracy.
- Relevant experience in journalism, media, or communications, and familiarity with local issues in Kottayam are beneficial.
- A bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, English, or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to work on-site, manage multiple assignments, and meet tight deadlines in a quick-paced newsroom environment.
