Prabin Agarwal — Empowering Investors is an AMFI-registered Mutual Fund Distributor based in Siliguri.
We have been serving investors for over two decades with a strong focus on long-term relationships, investor education, timely service and disciplined investing.
We are currently looking for an experienced and relationship-focused Relationship Manager for an office-based role in Siliguri.
Candidates with experience in banking, financial services, mutual funds, insurance, NBFCs or relationship-based client servicing/sales will be preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop relationships with assigned existing investors.
- Act as the primary point of contact for investor communication and relationship coordination.
- Regularly connect with investors through calls, meetings, WhatsApp and office interactions.
- Understand investor requirements and coordinate with internal teams for appropriate service support.
- Explain mutual fund products, processes, documentation and digital platforms in simple language.
- Follow up regarding SIPs, transactions, documentation, KYC and other investor requirements.
- Maintain regular engagement with existing investors and strengthen long-term relationships.
- Identify opportunities for SIP increases, additional investments and relationship expansion through meaningful investor conversations.
- Generate and follow up on referrals from existing investor relationships.
- Welcome and engage newly onboarded investors.
- Coordinate closely with operations, back-office and senior relationship teams.
- Maintain accurate records of investor conversations, meetings, follow-ups and pending actions.
- Track assigned relationship and business KPIs.
- Ensure timely closure of investor requirements and concerns.
- Maintain complete confidentiality of investor information.
- Follow the organisation's internal processes and applicable regulatory guidelines.
Candidate Requirements
- Graduate in any discipline.
- 2–5 years of experience preferred in banking, financial services, mutual funds, insurance, NBFCs, relationship management, client servicing or client-facing sales.
- Candidates currently working as Relationship Managers, Personal Bankers, Relationship Officers or similar client-facing roles are encouraged to apply.
- Robust communication and relationship-building skills.
- Good command of Hindi and English.
- Knowledge of Bengali will be an advantage.
- Comfortable interacting with investors across different age groups.
- Strong follow-up and ownership mindset.
- Comfortable working with relationship and business targets.
- Basic working knowledge of Excel, email, CRM systems and digital platforms.
- Interest in learning about mutual funds and investor servicing.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with multiple internal departments.
Preferred Candidate Profile We would especially like to meet candidates who:
- Have worked in a bank branch or financial-services organisation.
- Have handled an existing customer/client portfolio.
- Are comfortable conducting regular customer meetings and calls.
- Have experience in relationship retention and business development.
- Can build trust and maintain long-term client relationships.
- Are organised and disciplined with follow-ups.
- Take ownership instead of waiting for instructions.
- Are looking for a long-term career in relationship management.
Working Hours Monday to Friday: 9:30 AM to 7:00 PM
Saturday: 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM
Lunch Break: 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM
Location: Siliguri
Work Mode: In-office
