Role Description The Relationship Manager – Mortgages is a full-time, on-site role based in Varanasi. The role involves sourcing and managing mortgage customers, explaining home loan products and features, and guiding customers through the end-to-end application process.

The Relationship

Manager will assess customer needs, collect and verify documentation, coordinate with credit and operations teams, and ensure timely disbursal of loans. Daily responsibilities include building and maintaining strong customer relationships, achieving sales and portfolio quality targets, and engaging with local referral partners such as builders and real estate agents. The role also requires adherence to regulatory and internal compliance norms,



accurate record-keeping, and proactive follow-up to deliver a smooth customer experience.

Qualifications

- Strong customer relationship management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and long-term engagement.
- Sales and business development skills, including lead generation, negotiation, and achieving mortgage portfolio targets.
- Knowledge of retail banking and home loan products, basic credit assessment understanding, and familiarity with documentation requirements.
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to explain complex financial information clearly and simply.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data handling.
- Comfort with using banking systems, CRM tools, and MS Office applications to manage customer information and reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, commerce, business, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification in management or finance is an advantage.
- Prior experience in mortgages, retail lending, or relationship management in financial services is preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced setting, meet deadlines, and comply with regulatory and internal risk guidelines.
- Local market awareness in Varanasi and willingness to travel locally for customer and partner meetings.
