Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Registered Emergency Technician based at Medicover Hospitals in Hyderabad.

The Registered Emergency

Technician will provide timely and accurate emergency care, including triage support, basic and advanced life support procedures as per scope of practice, and assistance to physicians and nurses in stabilizing patients. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, preparing and maintaining emergency equipment, supporting diagnostic procedures, and ensuring proper documentation of patient care. The role involves coordinating with ambulance and emergency services, maintaining infection control and safety protocols, and participating in emergency drills and continuous quality improvement activities.



The technician will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered emergency care and support smooth department operations.

Qualifications

- Clinical emergency care skills, including basic life support (BLS), advanced life support (ACLS) as applicable, patient assessment, and triage support.
- Technical proficiency in operating emergency medical equipment such as monitors, defibrillators, oxygen delivery systems, and suction devices.
- Strong documentation and record-keeping abilities, including accurate charting of vital signs, interventions, and patient responses.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with physicians, nurses, paramedics, and support staff in high-pressure situations.
- Knowledge of infection control, safety procedures, and hospital emergency protocols, with attention to detail and adherence to guidelines.
- Ability to remain calm, organized, and responsive in rapid-paced, high-stress environments, with sound judgment and ethical practice.
- Recognized certification or registration as an Emergency Medical Technician / Emergency Technician, or equivalent qualification as per local regulations.
- Diploma or degree in Emergency Medical Technology, Paramedical Sciences, or a related healthcare discipline; hospital emergency department experience is an advantage.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by emergency department operations.
