Role & responsibilities

- Own the end-to-end product development portfolio for assigned OEM customers, ensuring successful execution from RFQ to SOP while meeting quality, cost, business, and timeline objectives.
- Act as the primary technical interface with OEM R&D;, Quality, Purchasing, and Program Management teams, strengthening strategic customer relationships and identifying future business opportunities.
- Define and approve technical development strategies covering tyre specifications, construction, materials, design direction, and targeted performance parameters for assigned programs.
- Review and approve technical proposals, benchmarking studies, DFMEA, Data Books, development plans, engineering changes, and other key product development deliverables.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration across Materials, Compound Development, Simulation, Testing, Manufacturing, Plant Technology, QA, SCM, Sales, and Business teams to ensure seamless and timely project execution.
- Govern project performance through regular reviews of milestones, risks, resources, costs, and technical issues, ensuring timely escalation, resolution, and adherence to customer and regulatory requirements.
- Support OE Sales and Business Development teams in RFQs, nomination activities, customer technical reviews, audits, and strategic discussions while ensuring compliance with APDP, QR, PPAP, CSQSR, regulatory, and engineering standards.




- Drive resolution of critical product quality and field performance issues through technical reviews and root-cause analysis, while developing organisational capability through mentoring, succession planning, technical competency development, and continuous improvement.

Preferred candidate profile

- Solid technical expertise in tyre design, product development, validation, and manufacturing processes, with a thorough understanding of OEM development requirements.
- In-depth knowledge of the complete OEM product development lifecycle, from RFQ through development, validation, nomination, and SOP.
- Proficiency in APDP, PPAP, DFMEA, Quality Requirements (QR), automotive quality systems, and relevant engineering standards.
- Strong project and program management skills, with the ability to analyse technical data, assess risks, and make sound engineering decisions.
- Proven leadership capability in managing cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams, with strong skills in coaching, mentoring, capability building, and resource management.
- Excellent planning, prioritisation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to drive execution across multiple projects in a fast-paced setting.
- Degree in Mechanical or Polymer Engineering with 1015 years of relevant experience in tyre design, tyre manufacturing, vehicle testing, and/or OEM development.
