Position Summary The Online Course Teaching Assistant (TA) provides academic and technical support for one or both undergraduate online courses—VS331 Histology and VS333 Domestic Animal Anatomy. The TA supports student learning through regular communication, facilitation of online review sessions, and assistance with course content maintenance and enhancement. This role emphasizes student engagement, responsiveness, and collaboration with the course instructor to ensure a high-quality online learning experience.

Required Job Qualifications Successful completion of VS331 and/or VS333 with a grade of B or higher
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and ability to work independently after training
Ability to manage time effectively in a flexible, primarily asynchronous work workplace
Positive, approachable demeanor with strong interpersonal skills
Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality when interacting with students
Preferred Job Qualifications Comfort with educational technology and online learning platforms
Experience with or willingness to learn tools such as Canvas, Quizlet, and other instructional technologies
Basic website development or digital content experience
Interest in creative or innovative learning supplements for online education
Essential Duties
Maintain frequent and supportive communication with students via email and online platforms to promote engagement and course success
Facilitate weekly online Q&A; or structured review sessions
Conduct online review sessions prior to each exam (four exams per semester)
Monitor course materials to ensure links, lectures, and labs function properly and are free of errors
Identify and suggest improvements to course content organization and presentation
Assist with the development and implementation of creative learning supplements and new technologies
Collect and summarize student feedback and suggestions for course improvement
Support special projects and additional course-related tasks as assigned, based on time and course needs
