Role Summary:
To lead research and development in ash handling equipment and future manufacturing product lines. The engineer will use SolidWorks to design, simulate, and improve mechanical systems and components, driving innovation, reliability, and cost efficiency in Indure's product portfolio.
Role & responsibilities
- Lead design and development of recent-generation ash handling equipment, including pumps, valves, grinders, hoppers, ducts, and other critical components.
- Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks.
- Coordinate with foundry and fabrication teams to ensure manufacturability and optimize cost and performance.
- Conduct simulation, FEA, and motion analysis for design validation.
- Redesign and upgrade existing products for better performance, efficiency, and maintainability.
- Build and maintain a structured design library and BOM database to support standardization and automation.
- Lead design work for new equipment lines as Indure's diversifies such as renewable energy, process, or environmental systems.
- Supervise prototype fabrication, testing, and documentation of performance data.
- Guide and mentor junior design engineers in SolidWorks and R&D; processes.
Preferred candidate profile
- B. Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering (M. Tech preferred).
- 5 to 10 years of experience in mechanical design using SolidWorks.
- Proven experience in heavy equipment, process, or material handling systems.
- Strong understanding of casting, machining, fabrication, and assembly processes.
- Familiarity with FEA tools (SolidWorks Simulation or ANSYS).
- Exposure to fluid mechanics, flow systems, or ash/slurry handling is an advantage.
