About The Role We are looking for an experienced Quick Commerce / Marketplace Lead to establish and scale our Marketplace & Quick Commerce practice from the ground up. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for building the business vertical, defining service offerings, developing a high-performing team, and driving growth for our clients across ecommerce and quick commerce platforms.

The ideal candidate should have extensive experience managing marketplace ecosystems, driving ecommerce growth strategies, and partnering with leading consumer brands. They should be equally comfortable with strategy, client consulting, execution, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Business & Practice Development

- Build and establish Puretech's Marketplace & Quick Commerce practice from scratch.
- Define service offerings, processes, SOPs, and operational frameworks for the business vertical.
- Develop scalable strategies to grow the Marketplace & Quick Commerce business.
- Identify new business opportunities and support the sales team during pitches and client presentations.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to build integrated ecommerce solutions.

Marketplace & Quick Commerce Strategy

- Lead end-to-end marketplace growth strategies across platforms such as:

- Amazon

- Flipkart

- Myntra

- Nykaa

- Blinkit

- Zepto

- Swiggy Instamart

- BigBasket

- Jiomart
- Drive catalog optimization, assortment planning, pricing strategies, promotions, visibility, and conversion optimization.
- Monitor marketplace performance, sales trends, competition, and emerging industry opportunities.
- Develop growth roadmaps for brands across marketplaces and quick commerce channels.

Client Management

- Act as a strategic advisor for clients' ecommerce and marketplace businesses.




- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior client stakeholders.
- Present performance reports, business reviews, and strategic recommendations.
- Lead quarterly business reviews and growth planning sessions.

Team Leadership

- Build, mentor, and scale the Marketplace & Quick Commerce team.
- Define KRAs, processes, and best practices.
- Coach team members on marketplace operations, strategy, and execution.
- Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous learning.

Performance & Analytics

- Track marketplace KPIs including:

- GMV

- Revenue Growth

- ROAS

- Conversion Rate

- Buy Box Performance

- Organic Rankings

- Share of Search

- Availability

- Inventory Health
- Use data to identify opportunities and optimize performance across platforms.

Requirements

- 8–12+ years of experience in Marketplace, Ecommerce, or Quick Commerce.
- Proven experience building and scaling ecommerce or marketplace functions.
- Robust understanding of Amazon, Flipkart, Nykaa, Blinkit, Zepto, Instamart, and other ecommerce ecosystems.
- Experience managing multiple brands and large marketplace portfolios.
- Strong commercial understanding of ecommerce business models.
- Demonstrated experience in client consulting and stakeholder management.
- Experience building and leading high-performing teams.
- Excellent analytical, presentation, and communication skills.
- Strong understanding of marketplace analytics, reporting, and performance optimization.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
